David comes from Northern Ireland where he was born into a Christian home. After completing his A Levels he went to work in the East End of London with one-parent families and alcoholic vagrants. On returning to Ulster he joined what has since become the Royal Irish Regiment of the British Army. He married Pearl and enjoyed a glorious year in European Bible Institute, near Paris. On their return to his home country he entered the Irish Baptist College and Queen’s University, Belfast. Philip, their son, was also born.Then, after successfully completing his course, he came to Scotland in 1987, becoming responsible for the Pastorate in Glenburn, Paisley, February 1988. He served the Lord there until 1994 when he became Pastor of the Baptist churches in Girvan and Maybole, Ayrshire. In 1999 the Lord led him to the Pastorate of Pathhead Baptist Church in Kirkcaldy, Fife. During this time he also continued further University post-graduate studies. He has had the privilege of preaching the Word of God throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, France, Romania, United States, Nigeria and Israel. Currently, he also serves as Chaplain to the local Squadron of the Air Training Corps.His emphasis throughout his ministry is to be faithful to the preaching of God’s Word, the upbuilding and teaching of the saints, and the salvation of precious souls.
