Study the Psalms with EBC

by | Apr 13, 2020 | Announcements | 0 comments

The Psalms have been described as the national hymn-book of the Old Testament people of God, expressing every emotion of the human heart and experience.  The book of Psalms also gives us words we need to communicate with God in our worship and in our day to day lives.

This devotional course is designed to familiarise you with the origins, structure and literary style of the Psalms and to make the Psalms, collectively and individually, more accessible.

Our hope is that as a result you will make much greater use of the Psalms in your personal walk with the Lord, thereby enriching and maturing your spiritual life and worship.

Lecturer: Rev John Brand, EBC Principal

Because of the current circumstances, this course will be taught via a virtual classroom, using zoom, and we are opening it up to anyone who would like to join us.

It will run over 10 Tuesday mornings from 9.30 – 10.30am, starting on Tuesday 28th April. The usual cost for this course would be £100, but we are offering it on a donation basis to make it as accessible as possible.

Those joining this course will have the option to complete an assignment at the end and thereby acquire some study credits. If you would like to join the Psalms virtual classroom, please complete the simple registration form which you can find here, make a donation following the directions given on the form, and we’ll get back to you.

We expect considerable interest in this and our other planned virtual classroom courses and may have to limit numbers, so we would ask you not to register unless you fully intend to do the whole course. Thank you for your understanding.
