How prescient and wise Martin Luther was; though it is, of course, logical common sense.

One of the greatest reasons why the church of Christ in the west, at least, is in the woeful condition we see all around us is that men have been – and to this day are being – trained for ministry in institutions and by professors who are not themselves steeped in or committed to the authority of Scripture, not to mention unregenerate. Luther was right when he warned against sending men to secular training establishments – and yet churches still send them and individuals still go to them today, perpetuating the problem.
