Happy New Year

A very happy and blessed New Year to you and yours from all of us involved in the ministry of EBC.

Now that the Christmas decorations are packed way for another year and you’ve made – and possibly broken – your New Year resolutions, there’s one more thing on your ‘to do list’ before life fully returns to some sort of normality – choose which of the new modules at EBC you will follow this Spring.  With what we have on offer, some of them starting next week, we believe you will be spoiled for choice.

Details about what’s available can be found here.

All of these classes are being held over zoom, which means that WHEREVER you are or WHOEVER you are, you can join in.  Additionally, for those of you who crave some human, rather than virtual, interaction, two of these modules – Isaiah and Romans – will be taught in person as well as on zoom.

Leviticus – Hebrews

Join us in a study of these two immensely significant books over 10 Tuesday mornings, between 11.00am and 1.00pm, starting on 10th January 2023. The course will be held on zoom, so that wherever you live you will be able to take part.

You can simply audit the course and benefit from the teaching and fellowship, or complete an assignment with a view to gaining some study credits. Full study notes and recordings are included in the price, which is £200, but only £150 for the auditing option.

Registration is essential and can be done here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The Doctrine of God

Who is God?  Who is this One who reveals himself in Scripture, in the person of Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit?

James M Boice

There is no doubt but that 99% of our troubles as Christians is that we are ignorant of God.  We spend so much time feeling our own pulse, taking our own spiritual temperature, considering our moods, our states, and fears.   Oh, if we had but had some conception of Him, the inconceivable glory of God.

D M Lloyd-Jones

This module is a study of the biblical teaching on the doctrine of God, focussing on his being, attributes and the Trinity. It is designed to stir our hearts to worship the incomprehensible yet knowable God.

The class will be held on 10 Tuesday afternoons, between 2 and 4pm, starting on January 10th and will be held on zoom, so that wherever you live you will be able to take part.

You can simply audit the course and benefit from the teaching and fellowship, or complete an assignment with a view to gaining some study credits. Full study notes and recordings are included in the price, which is £200, but only £150 for the auditing option.

The decline of the knowledge of the holy has brought on our troubles. A rediscovery of the majesty of God will go a long way toward curing them. It is impossible to keep our moral practices sound and our inward attitudes right while our idea of God is erroneous or inadequate. If we would bring back spiritual power to our lives, we must begin to think of God more nearly as He is.

We are really excited to bring you details of this new module which we are teaching in the Spring of 2023. Paul James-Griffiths, of Christian Heritage Edinburgh, is passionate and knowledgeable about his subject and wonderfully gifted in bringing it alive.

The class will be held on 9 Wednesday mornings, between 10am and 1pm, starting on January 18th and will be held both in person at our base in Broxburn, West Lothian, and also on zoom, so that wherever you live you will be able to take part.

You can simply audit the course and benefit from the teaching and fellowship, or complete an assignment with a view to gaining some study credits. Full study notes and recordings are included in the price, which is £270, but only £200 for the auditing option.

Registration is essential and can be done here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

NOTE: As a special bonus, we are planning to arrange a special Soul of Scotland walking tour of Edinburgh, led by Paul. More details will be made available to all who sign up for this module.
