Revelation
In general, people have one of two opposite and extreme approaches to Revelation – they either become obsessed and preoccupied with it or they avoid it as much as they possibly can; they either become caught up with, and even dogmatic, about the interpretation of the symbolic nitty-gritty and detail, or they find the whole thing so perplexing and confusing that they simply keep away.
In this module we will work our way through this last book of the Bible, making sense of its complex structure and contents, but do so in a way that will be edifying and spiritually profitable.
We will help you become familiar with the teaching and truths of Revelation and have an understanding of its nature and structure. You will gain a real appreciation of the assuring message of apocalyptic literature and of God’s sovereignty, especially in times of testing and trial and you will be equipped to interpret and apply Revelation in a hermeneutically correct and consistent way.
The course will be taught virtually over zoom n ten Monday evenings from 7.00 – 9.00pm, starting on Monday 13th January.
There are two ways to get involved:
- You can audit the course – simply taking part, enjoying the teaching and online fellowship, and benefitting from lots of notes and materials
- you can submit assessments – completing an assignment for marking and gaining EBC study credits
The cost is:
- auditing option: £140 (20 hours of teaching @ £10 per hour)
- assessments option: £200 (20 hours @ £10 per hour)
Please note that fees must be paid in advance. Registration is essential and can be done here.

We Need Your Prayers!
Perhaps the most important way in which anyone or any church can support the work of EBC is by praying, and we are so grateful for the many people and churches that do exactly that on a regular basis, but we are always looking for new intercessors and are also keen to help you pray by keeping you informed.
Would you considering asking your church to take even just 5 or 10 minutes each month to pray for us? Each month we are going to produce a brief powerpoint presentation, highlighting just a few points for prayer and for praise, and we would be thrilled if you could use this yourself or as part of your church’s prayer meeting? We’ll make it available towards the end of each month and if you would like to receive it automatically when it becomes available, please contact us and we’ll add you to the subscription list.

Angels, Demons and Spiritual Warfare
If it is true that, as in the words of John MacArthur, “The true believer described in [Ephesians] 1 -3, who lives the Spirit controlled life of 4:1 – 6:9, can be sure to be in a spiritual war”, then it is vital that we, as believers, are familiar with the Scripture’s teaching on the nature of this conflict, of our enemy, and of the resources provided for us by God.
Over 10 Wednesday afternoons between 2 and 4pm, starting on January 15th, EBC’s Principal, Pastor John Brand, will guide you through the Bible’s teaching on this whole area, seeking to apply it to the everyday life of the believer.
The classes will be held on zoom, so that wherever you live you will be able to take part. You can simply audit the course and benefit from the teaching and fellowship, or complete an assignment with a view to gaining some study credits. Full study notes and recordings are included in the price, which is £200, but only £150 for the auditing option.
Registration is essential and can be done here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Guard the Gospel – 2 Timothy
2 Timothy is Paul’s last recorded letter, written to his son in the faith just weeks before his own death. It is one of the most straight forward and urgent of the New Testament letters and one of the most relevant for our day and generation. EBC’s Principal, Pastor John Brand, will open up this inspirational New Testament letter over 10 Wednesday mornings, between 9.30 and 10.30, starting on Wednesday 15th January. The cost is just £70 (auditing) or £100 (study credits), and you can register for this course here.
Classes are held over zoom, so wherever you live in the world, this course is accessible to you.
Genesis 1-11
The Bible without Genesis would be, in the words of one writer, “like a building without a ground floor or a bridge with no support.” Genesis is, in some ways, the most important book ever written and without it so much of the rest of the Bible would be unintelligible. Here we have an indispensable introduction to the Bible as a whole and some foundation stones of truth are clearly laid down. That’s why it is so important to study these opening chapters and grasp something of their enormous significance.
Why not join this Tuesday morning study module – held on zoom – starting on January 14th and running from 9.30 – 10.30am. Your lecturer will be EBC’s Principal, Pastor John Brand.

Isaiah
There can be little doubt that the book of Isaiah is one of the most theologically rich of any of the Old Testament books. As has often been said, Isaiah gives the fullest revelation about the Messiah in the Old Testament, and in fact it is possible to preach the whole Gospel from Isaiah.
But, while certain sections of Isaiah – such as chapter 6 or chapter 53 – are well known and loved, much of Isaiah is largely unfamiliar to most believers. Perhaps this is because of its size or some of the prophetic and historical content.
Isaiah is the longest book in the Bible, apart from the Psalms which is, in essence, a collection of separate literary units. Its biblical importance can be seen in the fact that the New Testament contains more than 400 references to Isaiah and Paul quotes from it many times in his letters.
Ignorance of any part of Scripture is not good, but that is especially true of a book which speaks so richly of Christ. The book, as a whole, presents a majestic and moving view of Christ.
In this module, Rev Gavino Fioretti will open up this amazing book to you in such a way that you will be able to make sense of the overall structure and message of the book and, most importantly, see Jesus and the gospel.
The class will be held on 10 Monday mornings, between 11am and 1pm, starting on January 13th and will be held on zoom, so that wherever you live you will be able to take part.
You can simply audit the course and benefit from the teaching and fellowship, or complete an assignment with a view to gaining some study credits. Full study notes and recordings are included in the price, which is £200, but only £150 for the auditing option.

Eschatology: The Doctrine of the Last Things
Martin Luther said: “There are only 2 days in my diary – today, and THAT day” (i.e. the day of Jesus’ return). There is no shortage of teaching, viewpoints and theories about the return-of-Christ and the end-of-the-world. This course will major on the biblical certainties, while acknowledging the different views held by genuine believers.
This ten week course starts on Tuesday 14th January from 11.00am – 1.00pm, and is held over zoom so you can join in from wherever you are in the world.
There are two ways to get involved:
