Servant Leadership

There’s still time – just – to sign up for our new module on Servant Leadership which starts next Thursday morning (28th)

Buckle up! People are watching you. If they follow you, you’re leading. Who will they become? What will they do? This module explores biblical material on roles and purposes of leadership in the local church. It may also help with your nieces, neighbours, Boys Brigade and book club. We will explore biblical material on leading and following, the qualifications for eldership and practical tasks of mentoring & leadership.

This short module will run over nine Thursday mornings, beginning on April 28th, in a series of virtual classrooms held over zoom. These studies are open to anyone, anywhere, and can be audited or studied to gain study credits.

Tutor: Dr Adrian Holdsworth

Dates: 28th April to 30th June (no class on 26th May)

Time: 9.30 – 10.30am

Cost: £45, payable on registration

The Atonement

It’s just a week until this new module starts, but there is still time to register.

The atonement is the crucial doctrine of the faith.  Unless we are right here it matters little, or so it seems to me, what we are like elsewhere

Psalm 46

Recently, Rev Andy Longwe, a member of Edinburgh Bible College’s Board of Trustee, preached a powerful and timely sermon on Psalm 46 at College devotions. Since it is deserving of a much wider audience, with Andy’s permission, I commend the message to you. Andy is a Minister of the Free Church of Scotland and recently moved to London to become minister of their London City Presbyterian Church congregation.

School For Preachers

EBC Principal, Pastor John Brand, writes, “This morning I had the great joy and privilege of leading the first in a series of seminars on preaching for this group of men who hail from the north of Scotland, the south of England and several places in between. What a delight!” If you would be interested in joining this monthly online seminar, let us know.

School For Preachers

Starting on Saturday 29th January, EBC’s Principal is running a monthly zoom based School for Preachers, at the request of the leaders of Dovecot Evangelical Church in Liverpool. But this is open to anyone, anywhere, who would like to become better equipped for the work of preaching God’s Word.

Held over 12 Saturdays, the first session is completely FREE, and thereafter the cost is £15 per month or £150 if paid in advance.

There will be a mixture of teaching, discussion and questions and answers and more detail can be found in this leaflet or by emailing john.brand@edinburghbiblecollege.co.uk

Free Book!

We want to give a free book to everyone who joins our Friends of EBC programme.

As a Friend of EBC, you would give a monthly contribution of £10 or more to help us cover our core costs. In return, we would send you regular updates about how this support helps us move forward in providing quality training for God’s people. By joining Friends of EBC you can play an important part in helping us equip the next generation of church leaders.
