The Atonement

“The atonement is the crucial doctrine of the faith.

Unless we are right here it matters little, or so it seems to me, what we are like elsewhere.”

(Leon Morris)

Over ten Wednesday mornings, beginning on April 15th, in a series of virtual classrooms held over zoom, we will be studying the Scriptural teaching on this most vital of all doctrines.

Led by our Academic Dean, John Brand, these studies are open to ANYONE, ANYWHERE, and can be audited or studied to gain study credits.

And if, for any reason, you can’t join the zoom class live, by registering you will have access to the recordings and any notes provided.

The cost is £200 (assessments) or £170 (auditing).  Registration is essential and can be done here

The Sermon on the Mount

Join us on 10 Tuesday mornings, from 9.30-10.30, starting on April 14th, as we explore the most famous sermon ever preached. It is still as relevant and applicable as ever it was and this would be a great Bible study opportunity.

Warren Wiersbe says of the sermon, “Whatever applications the Sermon on the Mount may have to world problems, or to future events, it is certain that this sermon has definite applications for us today. Jesus gave this message to individual believers, not to the unsaved world at large. What was taught in the Sermon on the Mount is repeated in the New Testament epistles for the church today. Jesus originally gave these words to His disciples (Matt. 5:1), and they have shared them with us.”

The classes are held over zoom so you don’t even need to leave home and there are two ways to get involved:

  • you can audit the course – simply taking part, enjoying the teaching and online fellowship, and benefiting from lots of notes and materials; cost £70
  • you can submit assessments – completing an assignment for marking and gaining EBC study credits; cost £100

Please note that fees must be paid in advance. Registration is essential and can be done here.
